How to Play: Three-player Game Option
Index -> Board Game -> Three- and Two-Player Game Options
In a three-player game, one of the captains (and his or her accompanying ships) are not used. There are three home islands and four wild islands.
Setup for the two-player game is based on the four-player setup, with the following modifications:
In a two-player game, each player chooses two captains and their four ships. Each player chooses two home islands and can drop off gold tokens and repair ships at either island. Players can use only one of their captain abilities on each of their turns. When a curse is chosen, that curse affects only two of that player's ships, as chosen by that player. This means that a player may be under the affect of two curses at the same time.
